Before I tell you about a franchise opportunity that offers a unique, built-in residual income stream for its franchisees, I want you to play a quick little game with me.
A Numbers Game
Let’s play the game.
I’m going to ask you a question, and I want you to respond to it with a number. Here it is:
On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being “excellent,” and 1 being “not very good,” what number best describes your sales ability?
I’ll wait.
Ready? Let’s do this!
If you’ve given yourself a 7 or more, you’re going to want to read about the franchise opportunity below.
If you’re a 6, you may want to learn more about the franchise I’m going to tell you about.
But what if you’re a 5 or less?
If that’s the case, you need to look at franchise opportunities* that don’t require strong sales abilities.
*Note: as tempting as the extremely low franchise fee option Brightway offers new franchisees is, unless your sales and relationship building skills are top shelf, you should need to look for other franchise opportunities. Ones that are more in line with what you’re good at.
A Franchise Opportunity With A Residual Income Stream Built For Salespeople
It’s a well-known fact that most salespeople dislike sales-related, time-consuming paperwork that takes them out of the game, both mentally and physically. They want to sell! If that describes you, read on.
“You sell. We service.”
Do you like the sound of that?
To clarify, wouldn’t it be great if you could spend your working hours laser-focused on what you do best?
Hold on. I almost blew it. I screwed up the wording. I need to change “working hours” to “working for yourself hours.” After all, I’m talking about a franchise business.
Your franchise business.
A franchise with a residual income stream.
The Brightway Insurance Franchise
Family-owned and franchising since 2008, Brightway Insurance is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the country.
The Opportunity For You
If you’re good at selling and would like to be your own boss, becoming the owner of a Brightway Insurance franchise business is worth a look. Especially when you see how reasonable your upfront investment is.
One more thing: you don’t need to have an insurance background; 50% of Brightway’s offices are owned and operated by franchisees with zero prior experience in insurance.
Brightway’s Office Agency Model
If you’d like to have a small commercial office to work out of, Brightway offers two options.
Option #1: Pay a $5,000 franchise fee, and you’ll enjoy a commission split of 60% on new business and 50% on renewals.
Now, before I tell you about option #2, you need to know something super-important about the insurance business.
In a nutshell, it’s a business built for renewals. And it’s those renewals that can provide you with a steady residual income stream.
For example, think about your vehicle insurance. Isn’t it automatically renewed every year? How?
You get a renewal notice and you continue paying. Guess who else gets paid?
Your agent. He/she gets paid every time you renew your policy (or policies).
Please multiply that by the number of clients your agent has who are renewing their policies annually and automatically.
The Bottom Line?
Lots of clients = lots of residual income.
Are your wheels turning?
Brightway’s Office Agency Model: Option #2
If you’d like to earn a higher commission percentage on new business, right from the get-go, an enhanced option is available.
For an additional investment of $25,000, you’ll earn 80% on new business (as opposed to the 60% you earn in Office Agency #1).
Finally, if you’d like to earn up to 100% on new business, Brightway Insurance offers a Retail Agency Model in which franchisees earn 55% commission on renewals. That’s more than franchisees in the Office Agency Model earn.
Note: You’ll need to have a minimum of $20,000 in working capital for the $5,000 franchise fee model. And you’ll need to have at least $100,000 in working capital for the $60,000 franchise fee model.
How Your Clients Benefit
Brightway Insurance franchisees offer their clients numerous insurance choices…more choices than any other agency. That’s a huge win for your clients, as today’s consumers like to have choices.
Additionally, as a franchisee, you’ll have the ability to put together customized packages of insurance policies that can meet the needs of your clients today and throughout their lifetimes.
Finally, your clients benefit because you’re the owner…not an employee.
There’s a lot to be said about working directly with a local small business owner…as opposed to a salesperson.
Brightway Insurance Continues To Grow

Brightway Provides Serious Back-Office Support
Remember when I told you about Brightway’s “You sell, we service,” approach? Check this out.
The Brightway Insurance Service Center is where the magic happens. Magic? Yes…for you, the franchisee.
That’s where an entire team of licensed insurance professionals does their thing.
In this case, their “thing” is providing Brightway’s signature after-the-sale service and more.
And that’s precisely what allows you to focus on selling new policies that you get paid on immediately and annually, when your new clients renew their policies. And every time they renew, your residual income stream grows. It’s a win-win-win!
As a matter of fact, “Brightway exists to help everyone associated with the brand reach their potential and operate under a Win, Win, Win mandate, meaning everything we do must be a win for the customers and win for Franchise Owners. When we achieve those first two wins, it is naturally a win for us.”
Is Owning a Brightway Insurance Franchise Right For You?
My feeling is that if you’re good in sales, would like to be your own boss, and are attracted to the idea of building a residual income stream, you need to explore becoming a franchise owner with Brightway.
“This Franchise, this team, specifically the Millers, have had my back since the day I started almost 12 years ago. I have full confidence that Brightway has my back and is looking out for all of our best interests.”
– George Sterner, Franchisee, Owner of Brightway, The Sterner Agency in St. Cloud, Minnesota
